Emmanuel started playing drums in December 2000. Right at beginning, he undertook a rigorous process while following many private courses. Three years later, Emmanuel considers taking serious studies in music. To do so, he started a professional technique in popular music at ''Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy'' (CNDF) in Quebec City where he fine tuned his art on the drumset as well as on percussion instruments under the respective supervision of Denis Pouliot and Vincent Carrier.

Always seeking for improvements, Emmanuel is now continuing his training at the Wizdom Drumshed in Quebec City with Stephane Chamberland and at the Wisdom Drumshed in New York City with Dom Famularo. Emmanuel took part in various activities such as Kosa Camp, Pasic Show, Cape Breton International Drum Festival and Vic Firth Private Drum Teacher Seminar (PDT). Emmanuel particularly likes funk, latin and jazz music but masters just as well rock, dance rhythms, etc...

In parallel with his studies, Emmanuel began teaching drums during summer 2004 at various musical camps in the Quebec city area. He then had the opportunity to coach extra-curricular courses at ''Séminaire des Pères Maristes'' High School in 2005 and at ''Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy'' in 2006-2007. Today, Emmanuel teaches in his own private music studio. It is provided with an Roland V-Drum TD-12BK electronic drumset and a Mapex Orion acoustic drumset, mirrors, practice pads, video cameras, a high performance computer, a 32’’ HD flatscreen TV, an audio monitor and much more. These installations make it possible for the students to learn in an environment which supports the training. Emmanuel has also been a jury member for the well known contest Secondaire en Spectacle and for the international drums and percussions contest of the Jamon Podcast. Finaly, he played an important role in the revision of The Weaker Side and Drum Set Duets ; two drumbooks distributed worldwide.
