Inspired by the Vic Firth Private Drum Teacher Program (PDT), the drum studio started during the summer 2007. The school is in constant evolution in order to offer the best to the students. It offers a personalized approach that responds to the needs of each student. The teaching that the students receive is unique and professionnal. Provided with high-quality installations, the music studio is a favorable place to support the training. Subdivided in two sections (a technical platform as well as a drum platform), the environment is appropriate for people of all levels and all musical styles.
Beginners :
The new student who which to discover the drums is guaranteed to find satisfaction while learning how to juggle with the various elements directly related to the instrument. The suggested approach covers the ABC of reading and rhythm, coordination 101, an introduction to dexterity and an invitation to crativity. This stage is all about exploration.
Intermediates :
The intermediate musician who already has a certain experience and who wish to push further his knowledge will have access to a multitude of drum and percussion methods. The intermediate student will be surrounded by a stimulating environment in which he will improve the trainings of the previous stage, play songs and begin to improvise
Advanced :
At this stage, the student has strong foundations on which he can rely on and use to build with confidence. He knows his goals and what he likes better and he can now personalize his lessons while being guided by the professor. A special attention is paid to the details so that the advanced student has all the essential tools required to add values to the musician. The main goal is to offer a 360° panorama on the options of success as a drummer, and this, either on an artistic or an educational point of view as well as on a communication a business one. Moreover, if the musician fulfills the requirements, he becomes eligible to the “Coaching-Teacher” Package.

Studio
The studio includes :
•An acoustic drum and an electronic drum (both of professional quality).
•A system of audio connections makes the interaction of the two drums possible as well as the Play-Along performance + a high quality audio monitor.
•A technical and reading section with metronome.
•Two practice pads surrounded by mirrors for hands & feet technique analysis.
•Two video cameras (one HD) and a 32’’ HD flatscreen TV to allow visual auto-observation and a DVD burner to allow recording in real time. The recorded lessons can also be transferred to a USB flash drive.
•A powerful Macintosh computer with high-speed internet connection to be up-to-date about what’s happening in the music world.
